Goddess Harp/女神のハープ

I started by printing out the pattern of the harp. To make it 3D, I split the pattern in the middle. I cut the patterns in a diagonal angle so that when stuck together it would have that bending effect. I poked holes in the foam and put a string through, gluing it at the same time. the harp is made of two layers of foam with the bottom being 3mm and the top with the patterns curved being 1.5mm.

to make it stable I zigzagged hot glue on the back as I assembled the parts together. coated with wood glue, black Jesso and gold acrylic paint and coated twice over it too.

The difficulties I had was that I had to cut the entire thing in half at one point because it is a curved shape. Because I put the angle using a flat pattern, many parts were pulling apart due to the shape. I should’ve made the pattern slightly more of a loose curve so that when its assembled it actually made the perfect curve.

まずは型紙をプリントし、模様をくり抜いて写します。角度がつくように真ん中を半分に分けます。ボードを切り出します。この時、角度をつける部分全て斜め切りをします。そうすることでつけた時に斜めに角度がつきます。

針で穴を開け、糸/ゴムを通します。抜けないように瞬間接着剤で付けます。

私の場合、二層に分けて下は3mm, 上の模様がくり抜いてあるものを1.5mmのボードを使用しました。強度をつけるため、パーツを合わせると同時に裏側にグルーガンをジグザグに垂らしました。

木工用ボンド、ブラックジェッソで下塗り、金のアクリル絵の具を塗装して2回ニスでコーティングしました。

難しかったのはこの形自体です。元々カーブがあるものにさらに角度をつけて切り、合わせたため最終的な形のカーブがキツくなりすぎてしまいました。そこで仕方なく半分に切って調整しましたが、型紙自体を実際よりもカーブを緩めにデザインすればここまで面倒なことにはなりません(笑)
