Shawl (Sailcloth)／ショール

This was my first time doing something with fabric. Thus I made a mistake of using a non stretchable fabric. I made it long enough so it still works but I would recommend using stretchable ones and paint the patterns with fabric paint for this occasion.

What I did was simply cut out the pattern and do an appliqué. It looks hard but if you have a sewing machine, you can use a zig-zag pattern with high density and go around the pattern. You might want to use fusible batting on the back of the pattern and glue it to the main fabric prior to sewing around to make it easier and cleaner.

初めて布を扱ったプロジェクトでした。そのため伸びない生地を使ってしまうという大きなミスをしてしまいました。その分長く作ったので何とかなりましたができればスムースなどでやったほうが着心地はいいです。模様はアップリケしました。普通の家庭用ミシンでジグザグ縫いを幅を狭くしてやってます。アップリケのコツはまず接着芯を張ってから生地を切り、あらかじめ本体に裁縫上手で張ったうえでするとほつれもずれも出にくいです。
