Starting on Skyward Sword Outfit／スカウォ衣装作り始め

I began making this A year ago, finishing after 5 months. I started by making the chest gem part with resin. I used a silicon or plastic rather, that can change shape when exposed to heat. I made a mold with clay, pushed it onto the silicon. Then poured resin into it, colored into blue using a blue pigment for resin.

The trick is to not pour it all the way but do it in layers. When exposing resin to sunlight or UV light to harden it, they become extremely hot, melting the mold itself (because I used the one that changes with heat). So it is better to pour and harden it little by little.

Finally I sculpted with clay to make the golden parts. I colored it with golden acrylic paint. On the back of the gem, I glued blue fabric so that the Pink part of the Dress will not effect the color from the back. I also sewed a snap button so that i can easily remove it when washing the costume.

1年前に作り始め、5か月かけて製作しました。まず胸の宝石から作りました。粘土でダイヤの形を作り、おゆまるに押し付けて型を作りました。そこに何層かに分けてゆっくりレジンを入れてはUVライトで固めることをを繰り返しました。そうすることでレジンの固まる熱でおゆまるが変形するのを避けました。

金のパーツは粘土で作成し、上からアクリル絵の具で塗装してニスでコーティングしました。写真がありませんが、ワンピースの色が濃いので、それが表に出ないよう、宝石の裏には青い布を張り、取り外しができるようにスナップボタンを付けました。
